Blood Energy Drink? Neat!

Thank you for coming back! If you haven't yet, you might want to subscribe to our RSS feed to stay up-to-date.

There’s a very interesting new product out, Blood Energy Potion. Nothing like real blood apparently as far as taste, but it has the look, and comes in a resealable blood transfusion bag. It wouldn’t make a good blood substitute for a sang, but it sure would be a cool thing to have, and be a great collectible. Ah, how I love that vamps are “in” right now!

Psy-Vamps: How do you Feed?

Posted by: Mistress Ariana    in General Chat & Thoughts

In my last post, I was talking about the ethics of psy-feeding. With that on my mind, and being someone who could personally use the knowledge, I’m wondering how you personally gain the energy that you need.

It seems that having a donor or donors to provide you with energy through physical, sexual or emotional contact, would be the preferred method. However, there are those who live in areas where finding someone for that purpose is not an easy task.

Do you feed on others without their knowledge or permission? Is this acceptable behavior? i have hear people say that drawing the “excess” energy of groups of people is acceptable, while others disagree. What if there are no groups to draw from? Is feeding from “bad” people allowed? Is feeding on evildoers in some sort of gray area, or does it simply fall under the heading of feeding on the unwilling, and therefore become wrong?

As an aside… Has anyone tried feeding off a “bad” person, and had it work? Did it fail? Did you ever get the feeling that it didn’t/wouldn’t work due to a subconscious fear that you would be taking in the negative energies, rather than a “blank” energy, and therefore contaminate yourself with that negativity, rather than getting a positive effect from it?

Have you ever successfully drawn energy without any people being near at all? Is it ethical to feed off the energy of animals? Is it possible to draw energy from plants and trees? Can one simply learn to absorb the universal energy that is all around us? If so, what methods actually work?

Ethics of Psychic Vampirism

Posted by: Mistress Ariana    in General Chat & Thoughts

I was watching a show the other day on the origins of vampires, and something came up that got me to thinking. It was mentioned the Black Veil changed its wording in the code of ethics such that blood drinking is no longer part of modern vampire culture. Upon reading it myself, I see that it does not explicitly denounce blood-feeding, but rather encourages extreme caution. At any rate, it was said that Psy-feeding is the current preferred method.

Now, there’s plenty of controversy surrounding the idea and practice of blood feeding. Some have believed that they have the right to feed on anyone they choose, while others hold donors in high regard, and believe no one should ever be fed upon without their full consent, and that all care should be taken to ensure the health and bell-being of both the donor and the vampire.

Psychic or “psy” feeding raises a whole new set of questions and concerns. Considering that Psy feeding can be done without the target ever being aware, unlike blood feeding. Does a Psy-vamp have the right to feed off anyone they choose? Is feeding off crowds appropriate? Should Psy-feeding, like blood feeding, be a private act between consenting individuals?

I’m sure at least once in our lives we’ve all encountered people who unwittingly feed on those around them. They are unpleasant, and their lack of control can be a serious danger to anyone they come in contact with. However, couldn’t a psy-vamp with knowledge and intent be just as or even more dangerous? One would hope that a psy-vamp would not take so much energy from a single person as to cause them harm, but who’s to say they won’t? What if someone walks into a crowded public place with full intent to drain those in attendance? Is this inappropriate behavior and an abuse of power? Is it allowable because the victims are unaware? or does the act somehow reside in a gray area between right and wrong?

Personally, I would think it inappropriate to draw energy from unsuspecting individuals. Although, I can see times where feeding from some nearby asshole would be very tempting, if for no other reason than to diminish the energy that they use to disrupt the lives of others. But what do you do when you can’t find a willing energy donor? Does feeding on the unsuspecting passerby then become an act of necessity, and therefore make it acceptable? Or, in this instance, is the vampire supposed to find alternate means, such as drawing on natural and universal energies? Is that even possible?

Chime in and let me know what you think about all of this.
